Candy Cane Christmas Tree Farm specializes in many unusual varieties of premium "Snowfresh" trees.  Trees designated as "Snowfresh" are premium quality and are prepared for your home with a full range of services including cleaning, wrapping and bottom trimming.   The "Snow Fresh"  program is a Michigan tree growers' quality designation given to those farms who qualify and enroll in the program.

Our Field Varieties

  • Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir, Korean Fir, Balsam Fir

  • Blue Spruce, Black Hill Spruce, Serbian Spruce

  • White Pine

This year we are proud to offer you the most beautiful and abundant crop of trees in the 6 to 12 ft range.

Of course, all of our trees are cleaned, wrapped, bottom trimmed and drilled (for our special stands) free of charge

potted treeOur Potted Living Trees

  • These are living evergreens grown in containers (as opposed to being dug and potted).  They are light weight, easy to handle, can be displayed in the house up to 10 days, then planted outdoors.  Because they are grown directly in containers, none of the roots are severed, allowing them to grow with no transplant shock, which results in a faster growing tree for you.  We have them available in Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce, Black Hill Spruce, Serbian Spruce and Fraser Fir.  They are available in three sizes, 2-3 ft., 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 ft., and 5 to 6 ft.  Their pot makes them 12-17  in taller when displayed in the house.
Frank introduced our potted living trees in 2007.  Our customers have had tremenduous success with the survivability of these evergreens.
They are light weight, easy to handle, can be displayed in the house up 10 days, then planted outdoors.
Our potted living trees are intended for your enjoyment as a Christmas Tree indoors and then for planting in your yard - an ultimate "green" experience for your family.  They make an excellent gift to a child who can decorate his/her own Christmas tree, then can see it grow in the yard as the tree he/she planted in 2009.  Or consider this as a gift to a grandparent as a small table top tree.  Then go back and plant it for them after Christmas or in the spring.
These trees have excellent survivability if you follow the basic care instructions found here.

Governor wreath presentationCustom Wreaths and Garland

Freshly made wreaths of many sizes and shapes are available in the barn or can be custom ordered.  Table arrangements and garland are available also.  Our quality is excellent.  Our wreaths have won first place at the Michigan Christmas Tree Association competition four times.  The photo at the left shows the Genovese Family presenting the "official" wreath to Gov. Granholm as a result of winning the 2008 state wreath competition.

Answer StandTree Stands

We offer the "Answer Stand".  We drill a hole in the bottom of your tree for free if you are using this stand.  It's the easiest stand you can possibly use.  You lay the tree down while it is still in its wrapping, insert the peg from the tree stand in the hole at the base of the tree and tap it in.  Tilt the tree upward so that it stands straight and wiggle it into the stand.  The tree seats itself on the stand.  That's it - REALLY SIMPLE!  Done in less than 60 seconds!!!   Buy it once, lasts years!

Tip:  Don't unwrap the tree until it is in the house and in the stand.  Saves a lot of grief.
